Creative designers Jim Gross and Izzy Singer began jamming together with friends back in 1986 and it didn't take long for them to realize they had a musical kinship. After stints separately and collectively with other music projects, they formed Aspect Ratio in 2003 (Jim: Lead vocals, guitar, harmonica; Izzy: drums, vocals, guitar), combining their passion for acoustic folk and garage rock n' roll influences. Their 2004 debut self-produced CD features 12 original compositions. Fans have been clamoring for a new album, which is currently in the works. Depending on the venue, the band's stylistic flexibility allows for acoustic or electric configurations. Aspect Ratio also puts their unique spin on covers by artists from Neil Young to the Rolling Stones. Reflecting on the whimsy of Aspect Ratio's music, J.
